The 2017 World Architecture 100 list, compiled by UK architecture newspaper Building Design, ranks the world's top architecture firms.
The 2017 World Architecture 100 list ranks the world's top architecture firms by the number of fee-earning architects they employ.
Australia has six firms ranked in the top 100 list, which was compiled from a survey of 1,400 architecture practices from all over the world.
Woods Bagot is the largest practice in Australia, ranking 7th, followed by Bates Smart which was 45th. Other firms in the top 100 are Buchan Group (55th), GHD Woodhead (71st), Architectus (97th), and Hames Sharley (100th).
Cox Architecture was placed 44th in 2016, but was not on the list this year.
Woods Bagot was rated the 7th most admired architecture practice in the world, ranking equal with Zaha Hadid Architects, UN Studio, Nikken Sekkei, and Kohn Pedersen Fox. Foster and Partners was rated the most admired architecture practice in the world - for the 11th consecutive year.
