Hayden Groves, leader of Ray White Dethridge Groves, was last week awarded the coveted Kevin Sullivan Memorial Award by REIWA, which recognised his outstanding commitment to WA’s real estate industry for more than 25 years.
Established in 1989, the Kevin Sullivan Memorial Award is the institute’s highest individual honour with recipients solely nominated and decided upon by the REIWA Council. It is not handed out every year.
REIWA President Suzanne Brown said Hayden Groves’ long-standing history of service at both a national and state level has made a significant difference to the industry.
“Hayden is a passionate advocate for our industry, having represented the concerns of the industry to the government and in the media throughout his terms as president of REIA and REIWA.”
Mr Groves said he was truly honoured to win the award. “Kevin Sullivan was regarded as the forefather of ethical practice in agency and professionalism. He pioneered a lot of best practice in WA in that time’when real estate agents weren't regulated. I was deeply touched to receive the award which was presented by his son, Paul Sullivan.”
Ray White Western Australia CEO Mark Whiteman congratulated Hayden Groves on the special award. “This is wonderful recognition for an invaluable contribution to the real estate industry and a testimony to the regard in which Hayden’s peers hold him in. We are humbled to have someone of Hayden’s standing and reputation in the Ray White family.”
The Western Australian real estate royalty and his highly accomplished team, recently rebranded to Ray White, a move Hayden Groves said was to take his business to the next level.
For more than 45 years, DGRE has been the go-to local expert in real estate sales and property management within the Fremantle community.
“I am so glad we made the move. No-one can compete with Ray White for its tech capabilities, systems and leadership support. The transition has been seamless and everyone in my team is so excited about the future,” Mr Groves said.
