Laing+Simmons Point Cook has now opened its doors in one of the busiest markets in Melbourne’s west with the experienced team of Miraj Mahmud and Golam Haque joining the brand at an opportune time.
“Interest in Point Cook and its surrounding suburbs is strong with demand coming from first home buyers, young families, singles and couples, investors and more,” explains Mr Mahmud.
With its relative affordability, broad selection of freestanding homes, new townhome developments and blossoming sense of local community, the area is understandably of interest to a broad cross section of buyers.
“There have been various developments completed in recent years and the next few years will coincide with the initial cycle of housing turnover in some of these new communities, making it an opportune to open our doors.
“The area is home to a vibrant, young multicultural community and is evolving with its own sense of identity and community spirit. We’ve excited to open Laing+Simmons Point Cook at this pivotal time,” Mr Mahmud says.
The team, particularly Mr Haque, is well-known locally as a community leader. Since 2006, he has fostered strategic partnerships with diverse community groups in Western Melbourne and has sponsored multicultural events, local sports clubs, cultural organisations and faith based institutions.
Additionally, Mr Haque serves as the Founder Director of the Australia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, promoting bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and holds various management positions with community organisations and local political entities.
Laing+Simmons Point Cook specialises in the Point Cook, Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Tarneit and Truganina markets and has bold ambitions for growth in this key growth corridor. As such, recruitment is on the agenda.
“We’re leveraging the Laing+Simmons recruitment resources to actively seek talented sales professionals and property managers whose values align with our own,” explains Mr Haque.
“Point Cook is one of the busiest real estate markets in Melbourne’s west, which is one of the city’s fastest growing regions. We look forward to growing alongside our community in the years ahead, and this includes offering new employment opportunities.”
Laing+Simmons Head of People & Growth Jacqui Barnes welcomed the team at Laing+Simmons Point Cook to the group.
“The fact that one of the Point Cook team has experience with the Laing+Simmons brand in New South Wales, and therefore understands the culture of support we offer, was instrumental in us establishing this first presence in Melbourne,” Ms Barnes says.
“We’re grateful to call Laing+Simmons Point Cook our first Melbourne location because of the strong team behind the office. We look forward to supporting their growth as a business and having them part of the Laing+Simmons family,” she says.
