Peter Marsi and Benjamin Small have taken on new leadership roles, reflecting BresicWhitney’s continued commitment to its people. Head of Property Management, Chantelle Collin said, “Peter and Ben are incredible leaders whose promotions reflect the energy, skill and experience they continue to deliver for our people and clients. Equally, they reflect the career pathways that we at BresicWhitney believe should be achievable for everyone in property management, and why it’s crucial that as an industry we continue to nurture and develop all our people.
Peter Marsi has been promoted to Performance Manager – Leasing and Business Development, in a newly created role – and one that’s unique to BresicWhitney and the industry. He will focus on the coaching, development and growth of the business development and leasing teams within Property Management. This includes empowering not only transactional-related client success but aims to empower each individual to thrive, incorporating professional development and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Mr. Marsi has 15 years’ experience in Property Management, having been with BresicWhitney for seven (7) of those. In his time with the group, he has progressed from Senior Portfolio Manager to Business Development Executive, and now to his current role leading BresicWhitney’s leasing and business development teams.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Small has been promoted to Area Manager, for the Inner City and East. This is a role that will see him support and mentor the team of Portfolio Managers who specialise in this geographical area. It’s a role that mirrors that of Donna Chu’s – BresicWhitney’s Area Manager for the Inner West and Lower North Shore teams.
Mr. Small will provide hands-on guidance with client engagement, asset performance and tools for how the team can navigate the increasingly complex property investment landscape. He has been with BresicWhitney for 10 years and was most recently leading the leasing team in a role which he progressed to after starting his journey with the group as a leasing executive, followed by business development executive.
Mr. Small, Mr. Marsi, and Ms. Chu – who has been with BresicWhitney for 14 years – will work closely in partnership with Rebekah Towndrow, Operations Manager, with 20 years’ experience in Property Management and six of those years in leadership roles within BresicWhitney Property Management. They will work together to ensure the department’s success, in partnership with Head of Property Management, Chantelle Collin.
Ms. Collin said, “Peter and Ben are incredible leaders whose promotions reflect the energy, skill and experience they continue to deliver for our people and clients. Equally, they reflect the career pathways that we at BresicWhitney believe should be achievable for everyone in property management, and why it’s crucial that as an industry we continue to nurture and develop all our people.
The rental property shortage, current economic conditions, extreme weather events and the changing expectations of owners and tenants have demanded more of the industry, Ms. Collin added. “Long gone are the days of portfolio managers being a simple conduit between an owner and a tenant. It’s an industry that requires constant critical thinking and an ability to adapt, strategise, and problem-solve in a quick yet meaningful way. My team and I are proud of the role we play across the property investment lifecycle and the ways in which we can service owners while providing an excellent tenant experience.”
