Building and renovating can be stressful. The Victorian Government is trying to make the process easier by developing a website that puts all the relevant information in one place.
The Victorian Government has released a new online tool for home renovators and builders that aims to put all building-related information in one place.
Consumer Affairs Victoria has teamed up with the Victorian Building Authority and the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority to create the site.
Users can answer a few simple questions about their project, and are then directed to the required information, which includes builder registration, contracts, insurance, plans and permits, information for owner-builders, and advice about resolving problems.
Previously, Victorians looking for building and renovating information had to navigate three different government websites.
The tool is available here.
