Following the success of 2020's inaugural virtual tour, the 2021 NGVWA Garden Day sponsored by Kay & Burton will continue online featuring four highly coveted gardens in Western Victoria.
After the success of last year’s Virtual Garden Day, the NGVWA will stream its second Virtual Garden Day from Wednesday 8 December.
This year, the NGVWA along with Principal Event Partner Kay & Burton are incredibly excited to obtain access to four highly coveted private gardens in Western Victoria, including 'Wombat Park' in Daylesford, with most of its majestic trees planted 80-160 years ago, the manicured gardens of 'Darriwill' in Sutherland Creek and properties in Barwon Heads and Dunkeld.

This exclusive access provides glimpses into places of great beauty and significance in Western Victoria. “Garden owners are custodians for a short time in the creation and long legacy of a garden. Like art, beautiful gardens are an ever-evolving work in progress,” says NGVWA Volunteer Sasha McGregor.

The NGVWA was formed in 1961 to raise funds for the NGV. Its efforts along with our Principal Event Partner Kay & Burton and support from so many generous members of the public, have enabled the NGV to acquire a large catalogue of artworks over this time including works by Alicja Kwade, Andy Warhol, John Brack and Yayoi Kasuma.
