Rents in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin were all lower over the year, and in other capital cities rental growth slowed from already low levels.
The accompanying tables show council areas that have recorded at least 50 advertised rents over the 12 months to June 2016, and the councils that have recorded the greatest increases in house and apartment rents over the period. For houses, Manly was the only capital city council area to record rental rises.
