Sold by Jamie Mi, Darren Lewenberg and Gerald Delany of Kay & Burton, who told WILLIAMS MEDIA, “It was priced accurately and exactly in line with what the market was thinking.”
This recently updated residence close to Toorak Village has been sold by Kay & Burton for an undisclosed price, following a 4-week campaign.
Originally designed by Wayne Gillespie, one of Melbourne’s most respected architects, the home features Gillespie’s distinctive modern classical style, with beautifully proportioned light-filled interiors, absolute privacy, and a great connection to the outdoors.
Kay & Burton’s Jamie Mi told WILLIAMS MEDIA there were quite a few repeat one on one inspections, particularly by family buyers, during the Expressions of Interest campaign.
“The South Yarra pocket of Toorak is a premium location,” Jamie told WILLIAMS MEDIA. “There really is strong underlying demand for good quality family homes. Right from day one, we had good quality buyers walking through this home, mainly with established families, as expected with a Wayne Gillespie-designed home. And the home was ready to immediately move in.”
“Well designed homes like this have a loyal following, though they are not always active buyers. We held this home tightly in terms of inspection, it was only available for viewing very close to the launch of the campaign. It was priced accurately and exactly in line with what the market was thinking.”
Jamie told WILLIAMS MEDIA that as COVID-19 restrictions ease she is seeing a lot more overseas enquiries on their top end properties. “Buyers are happy to come out to inspect properties in groups. Everyone is obeying the social distancing rules.”
