The weekend clearance rate across the country was 72.0%, according to CoreLogic.
There were 1,365 auctions held over the weekend, up substantially from the previous election weekend, when only 841 auctions were held, but down from the same time last year.
For this weekend last year, 1,704 auctions were held, and a clearance rate of 74.9% was achieved.
The clearance rate for this weekend was 72.0%.
Sydney's clearance rate was a strong 79.0%, and Melbourne's was 71.9%. Adelaide (72.3%), Perth (55.6%), Tasmania (50.0%), and Canberra (76.0%) all recorded clearance rates equal to or higher than 50%.
Only in Brisbane were more properties unsold than sold at auction, when a 44.0% clearance rate was recorded.
