More than 650 LJ Hooker Group professionals, from across Australia and New Zealand, recently attended the real estate giant’s dedicated property management conference, aptly named Shine.
The stellar event, in its second year, brought together industry leaders, renowned speakers, and passionate property managers from across the LJ Hooker Group’s house of brands comprising the iconic LJ Hooker and boutique brands Atlas by LJ Hooker (Australia) and Harveys (New Zealand), resulting in an immersive and inspiring experience.
LJ Hooker Group’s Head of Property Management Nick Georges said the eagerly anticipated event lived up to its name, shining a light on the latest trends and best practices in the property management industry.
“Shine is a significant investment in our property managers and business development managers and a must-attend event of the year.
“It is an outstanding platform for learning, networking, and innovation in our field. This year, we attracted an unprecedented number of attendees.
“Off the back of the success of our inaugural conference last year and our growth, the number of attendees this year increased by 44 per cent.
“The feedback we have received from our network was sensational, with the conference receiving significant Net Promoter Scores of 57 and 79 in Australia and New Zealand respectively. And that comes down to providing relevant and insightful content that will enrich them, reflected in the NPS scores.
“Our goal was to create a truly value-adding experience for our property managers, and we are proud to say that we achieved that."
Shine proved to be a transformative experience, combining captivating keynote presentations and interactive workshop sessions, with attendees gaining insights from diverse speakers, Peter Camphin from PropUP and Dr Adrain Medhurst, who each shared their expertise on leadership and customer service excellence.
“We achieved a remarkable balance in our speakers this year, with a focus on the practical application of key learnings in everyday business interactions. The thought-provoking sessions delved into the realm of the customer experience and how our property managers can reset industry benchmarks.
“Each interaction with our customers must be exceptional, and our ultimate goal should be to provide an unexpected experience at every touch point – so that we are continuously exceeding customer expectations.
"The Shine conference offers a chance to glean knowledge not only from the esteemed experts on stage, but also from fellow peers. In property management, where recognition can often be scarce, bringing together the network fosters a valuable exchange of peer-to-peer learning and cultivates a culture of mutual appreciation.
“With its resounding success, we are already looking ahead to making next year’s Shine conference even bigger and better as we aim to build upon the incredible momentum generated,” said Mr Georges.
General Manager of Network Australia Stephen Mutton said the LJ Hooker Group was committed to empowering its property management division by equipping its professionals with the right tools and resources to excel.
“Our property management division is crucial to our Group’s success. It stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence in both service and stewardship. With meticulous attention to detail and unwavering customer dedication, our property managers are a leading force in the industry.
“Property managers play vital roles in the enrichment of their customers by cultivating lasting tenant relationships, and maximising asset value and ensuring financial security. Hence, why it’s imperative that we offer our property managers the support and resources they need to thrive – and the annual Shine Property Management conference stands as a valuable component of this, further reinforcing our commitment to their success and growth.
