Award winning auctioneer Edward Riley has today announced that he is branching out as an independent auctioneer after spending the last 15 years auctioning exclusively for one of Sydney’s leading agencies.
Highly regarded as one of the most talented and well-respected auctioneers in the country, Mr Riley has been the recipient of numerous industry accolades including the Real Estate Institute of NSW Auctioneer of the Year, the Estate Agents Co-operative Auctioneer of the Year and the McGrath Auctioneer of the Year. He has also represented his state at the Australasian Auctioneering Championships on three separate occasions.
Mr Riley said the timing was right for him to ‘move out’ on his own and that he was looking forward to working with a wider cross section of the real estate industry. “As the market continues to shift, it is now more important than ever that agents engage an experienced auctioneer. I am very excited to be able to share my many years of experience and finely honed auctioneering skills with a fresh group of agents. I look forward to developing new relationships and helping agents grow their existing auction businesses.”
Edward Riley’s real estate career spans some 25 years, during which time he has held several positions including that of sales agent on Sydney’s Upper North Shore. He is a well-known figure within the industry having been called upon to emcee the annual REINSW Awards and many other industry events. He has also worked tirelessly for charity having conducted more than 500 charity and fundraising auctions during his career.
“I am extremely passionate about the auction process and truly believe it gives vendors the best opportunity to maximise their sale price whilst providing buyers with a transparent environment in which to purchase. Not only that but it also gives agents a structured timeline to work towards.” Mr Riley concluded.
