A familiar name and face in real estate has returned after a little over a two-year hiatus, which comes as no surprise to anyone who knows the incomparable Tony Williamson.
He joins the acclaimed team at RE/MAX Precision in Bundaberg, which is led by industry-recognised Scott Mackey, whose achievements include numerous RE/MAX accolades and awards, being an acknowledged authority on short term rentals (STR), and multiple listing in the News Mail/Central Queensland University ‘Power 50’ which noted the key role he plays in brokering big projects and selling the region internationally.
“I am extremely excited to have Tony on board and tap into his experience for the benefit of our agents,” said Mr Mackey. “He will have an impact on listings and coach our agents in building their businesses.
“Through the years, Tony and I have developed an enormous understanding of and respect for each other’s businesses; and while he may have played more the mentor role in the past, I will now be returning that favour in the short-term rental business sphere.”
Mr Williamson, who entered real estate as a 21-year-old in the 1980s, sold a successful real estate business in 2006 and four years later opened RE/MAX Real Estate Services in Cairns. He’s been named on Elite Agent’s ‘Top Influencers List’ and the Cairns Post’s ‘Most Influential’ numerous times. He sold his business to Ray and David Murphy in 2019.
He joins RE/MAX Precision this month but has remained hands-on in the industry in an advisory capacity in the interim.
Mr Williamson has been described in broader industry forums as a ‘leader inspiring action’.
“Tony has certainly been one of the global RE/MAX network’s most vocal and passionate real estate franchise owners,” Mr Mackey said. “He’s gained international recognition as an award-winning business owner, thought leader and power-packed performer, and the network welcomes his decision to be part of my team.”
