Northern Territory real estate stalwart, Mr Tony Pickering, has won the prestigious REIA Presidents Award at last night’s REIA National Awards for Excellence.
The Real Estate Institute of Northern Territory played host to the prestigious 2021 REIA National Awards for Excellence at a glittering black-tie event with over 200 people on the lawns of Mindil Beach Casino.
The top award of the evening was the REIA Presidents Award, which recognises and celebrates outstanding contribution to the real estate profession by individuals from any state or Territory over an extended period of time, and is based on a range of criteria exhibiting how the nominee has excelled in the profession.
Tony Pickering has been a part of the Territory real estate scene for over 50 years. During that time, he has contributed greatly to the industry including being one of the original founders of the REINT, a former President of the REINT, leading the auction community in Darwin real estate, teaching at the REINT and representing the Territory on the national REIA Board.
“This a great achievement and we are intensely proud of Tony.”, said Mr Quentin Kilian, Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Institute of the Northern Territory. “This is an amazing accolade for a man who has given so much to this profession over the years.”
Tony Pickering is also the first recipient of the coveted Ken Waters Award, given by the REINT for meritorious service to the industry and is a Life Member of the REINT.
