Ray White Hobart and Ray White Glenorchy are set to come under the same umbrella in the capable hands of Farzin Hesari and Nawwar Alshawi.
Ray White Hobart and Ray White Glenorchy are set to come under the same umbrella as business owners Farzin Hesari and Nawwar Alshawi take over the capital city’s flagship agency.
The new venture will absorb the Glenorchy business into Ray White Hobart however, the office, north of Hobart, will continue servicing the local community.
Mr Alshawi said there was quite a bit of overlap, but the staff in Glenorchy would be covering the northern suburbs more extensively.
“These areas offer greater access to affordable housing and therefore are popular with investors and first home buyers alike,” Mr Alshawi said.
“It can make a real difference to work with a specialist who knows the area well.”
The new business owners will also be working closely with former Ray White Hobart business owner Ant Manton, who is staying on in a sales capacity. The pair said they felt fortunate to be able to call on his experience.
“Ant Manton is a household name in real estate in Hobart. He's a great example to young people of what can be achieved in real estate with hard work and perseverance,” Mr Alshawi said.
Mr Manton said he would remain in a sales position and was committed to continuing to support the Ray White Group and working with the new business owners to help build the brand further.
“It’s great to have them come on board. They have good, solid local experience and are really well connected in the business community, as well as being fundamentally good people,” Mr Manton said.
“We’ve been working tirelessly to pull this together and despite COVID-19 hitting, they have been true to their word, which is an indication of their integrity.”
“Under the guidance of Farzin and Nawwar and with me in a sales position, I believe we can see the Ray White name expand across southern Tasmania.”
Mr Manton also added that he was excited to focus on what he does best, listing and selling property and focusing on clients in what are uncertain times.
The familiar faces at Ray White Hobart will stay the same with the addition of some new faces from the Ray White Glenorchy office, including real estate power agents Sam and David Johnston.
Mr Alshawi said their newly combined team had a more diverse mix of skills which they hope to be able to leverage and provide their staff with greater opportunities and flexibility.
“Whilst we have some very experienced operators in residential real estate, our new team incorporates a strong understanding of businesses and commercial property, as well as finance,” the Hobart business owner said.
“We've only started to scratch the surface, and it's terrific to see some of our staff realising their potential in newfound ways, and getting to the core of what makes them tick.”
Despite recent uncertainty, the teams at Ray White Hobart and Ray White Glenorchy are confident they can weather the storm with the support of the larger Ray White network.
“During times of uncertainty, we take things day by day, and our team is focused on being the best we can right now,” Mr Alshawi said.
“When you are part of Australasia's largest and most successful real estate group, it's hard not to have some lofty ambitions, but we remind ourselves that these goals are long-term.
“The market dominance our group has achieved across Australia has taken many years of hard work, perseverance, and enduring hard times along the way.
“We would love to replicate some of this success in Tasmania and we're lucky to be guided by some of the best minds in the industry.”
Ray White Victoria | Tasmania CEO Stephen Dullens said Tasmania held a special place within the group, with so much of the 118-year history tracing back to Hobart and surrounding areas.
“Ray White himself was born in Hobart back in 1878, this is essentially where the Ray White family story began, now Australasia's largest real estate group,” said Mr Dullens.
“We're excited for Nawwar and Farzin to take the reins, joining forces with Ant and his team to build an even stronger business.
“Their focus on providing the very best outcomes for their customers and their team is something we're thrilled to support.
"We're sure the future is bright for Ray White in Tasmania.”
