Brendan Gibb of REAL Specialists said recent auctions are a signal that the industry was on its way to recovery.
Over the last week, REAL Specialists has experienced a strong resurgence in customer activity as 4 properties go under the hammer, selling well beyond expectation as physical auctions and inspections return.
The reduction of restrictions and returning consumer confidence has prompted a steady rise in volume and activity for properties within the Gold Coast area.
As physical auctions return, the properties for sale at Broadwater Esplanade, Commercial Road, Oceanview Crescent, and Kyogle Road have drawn in compelled crowds and significant enquiries.
With 65 registered bidders for Kyogle Road alone, buyer interest has been steadily increasing across the board, with both commercial and residential properties seeing audience engagement levels not seen since late February.
General manager of REAL Specialists, Brendan Gibb said that last week’s auctions were the signal that the industry was well on its way to recovery.

“We’ve begun to see that customers are engaging with us a lot more," said Mr Gibb.
"There has been a healthy number of auction registrants across the board and enquiry numbers are up significantly from the weeks prior.
“From what we can see right now, people are returning to the market.
"We’ve already begun to see strong interest in some of our properties in and around the Tweed area."
While the majority of last week's auctions have been in-rooms or on-site, online auctions have been shown to be a very useful method of reaching mass audiences amidst the surge in buyer confidence as Brad Franks, selling principal of Ray White Murwillumbah in charge of Kyogle Road explained.
“We knew it was a good holding and it was going to attract a sizable crowd of potential buyers, but the online auction platform definitely allowed a higher level of participants to register and have the opportunity to be part of the auction with just a click of a button," said Mr Franks.
“To have 65 registered bidders was a real achievement and clearly shows that potential buyers trust in our online platform."
