"We see Double Bay as a flagship for our Harbourside team which covers from the CBD to Watsons Bay and indeed beachside areas of Bondi and Tamarama," said John McGrath.
Double Bay and the exclusive suburbs of Eastern Sydney have become the latest area for McGrath Estate Agents to establish themselves.
With the new office opening last Friday at 35 Knox Street, Founder and Executive Director John McGrath told WILLIAMS MEDIA that Double Bay would become the flagship for their harbourside team.
“We have always operated in a regional environment so we see Double Bay as a flagship for our Harbourside team which covers from the CBD to Watsons Bay and indeed beachside areas of Bondi and Tamarama," said Mr McGrath.
"We’ve operated in the east since 1988 primarily in niche locations, but when we relocated our head office from Edgecliff to our new Pyrmont site late last year, we wanted a location and space that reflected our team’s commitment to the region as well as somewhere our clients would feel comfortable visiting to discuss their property needs."

The opening of the office in Double Bay reflects McGrath's outlook on the current property market.
“The market current is very robust with good depth and buyer demand," said Mr McGrath.
"I expect this to continue. There’s no doubt that listings are at historical lows which may be adding to this demand but I think moving forward we will continue to see a tighter listing environment for the duration of 2020.
"I think some of the reasons for less stock are short term and some are longer term structural.
"People living longer and healthier have precipitated staying in their own homes is a trend we will all enjoy.
"This as a result is lengthening the time many people remain in their current home as they get older.
Mr McGrath said a current issue in stock volumes is stamp duty and overall transitioning costs for sellers.
"As prices have escalated this cycle these costs have become material to many people, especially older owners and investors," said Mr McGrath.
“I think people looking for an amazing lifestyle in Sydney today focus on one of several options: Living by the surf. Living near the harbour or living in the Inner City within close proximity to cafes and transport.
"Double Bay and its surrounds provide easy access to all those attractions and more.”
