Matt O'Grady knows the Sunshine Coast very well and is ready to take over Ray White Nambour.
Well-known agent Matt O’Grady has recently taken the reins at Ray White Nambour in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Mr O’Grady, who has worked in real estate sales from Noosa to Caloundra over the past 10 years, believed taking ownership of his own office was the obvious next step in his career.
He has bought the business from the previous owner Michael Stack, who also owns the nearby Sippy Downs office, which is where he’d worked for the past seven years.
Mr Stack said he was delighted to see Mr O’Grady move into ownership and wished him all the best in Nambour.
“It’s a great community in Nambour and I know he’ll serve the community well,” said Mr Stack.
Mr O’Grady said he had always had the ambition to own his own business.
“So when the opportunity arose I knew it was the right time to take it.
"Having lived on the Sunshine Coast for most of my life, I have a great depth of knowledge on not only the area but the lifestyle and the people.”
Nambour is known as the gateway to the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland, so for Mr O’Grady who specialises in acreage and lifestyle properties, the location is ideal.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to focus on what I love,” said Mr O’Grady.
Ray White Queensland CEO Tony Warland congratulated Mr O’Grady on taking the next step into business ownership.
“Matt is a well known and respected member of his community," said Mr Warland.
"This step into business ownership is an exciting time and we look forward to supporting him as he continues to grow.”
Mr O'Grady said his main focus over the next 12 months would be growing the sales side of his business while continuing to serve the community with the best possible customer service.
“It’s so important for my team to nurture the strong relationships we have built with the community," said Mr O'Grady.
"We’re all about providing a traditional service, but unlike our competition, we have the technology and support to really go that extra mile.
“We still have strong family values within the team, so for me, it’s all about being as involved with the community as possible.”
