Curve Birtinya is the latest $37 million project to be built by Cube Developments on the Sunshine Coast and the properties are being snapped up fast.
The sod was officially turned this week on Cube Developments' latest $37 million project - Curve Birtinya apartments.
Nearly half of the apartments have already sold with the majority of buyers hailing from within 30 kilometres of the project.
Cube Development’s Director Scott Juniper said there has been an overwhelming amount of interest in this project with buyers eager to purchase off the plan to secure their place.
At a glance:
“We only have one penthouse with a private rooftop terrace left for sale but all the residents will have access to a taste of luxury with the Curve private pontoon, resident gym, Pilates studio, pool, spa and sauna,” said Mr Juniper.
“We have families, first home owners and people over the age of 50 showing interest and we know these buyers want to make the apartments their home — 90 per cent are owner-occupiers.
“Sunshine Coast locals are some of our biggest supporters and are jumping at the chance to reinvest in their region — and why wouldn’t they, when you see how quickly the small suburb of Birtinya is growing into a thriving health precinct.”
Mr Juniper along with Stockland’s Mark McMahon, Sunshine Coast Councillor Jason O’Pray and project builder Michael Crocker from National Construction Management marked the start on construction at the sod turn for the multi-million dollar project.
Curve Birtinya is in the heart of the Oceanside Health Hub, within walking distance to the $1.8 billion Sunshine Coast University Hospital and University Private Hospital and minutes away from the developing Kawana Town Centre.
“Stockland has really seen a vision for this health precinct and to see how far it has come in such a short time is really exciting, so we knew we wanted to be a part of it,” said Mr Juniper.
“We believe there needs to be diversity with a range of single unit dwellings and luxury apartment living and that’s what we wanted to deliver.
Mr Juniper said Birtinya is becoming the suburb to work and play with just a short stroll to the beach, encompassing the relaxed Sunshine Coast lifestyle.
National Construction Management Business Development Manager Michael Crocker said projects like this are good news stories for the local construction industry with 65 workers expected to be on site during peak times.
“Not only is this great for confidence in the industry with an estimated $17 million injected back into the local economy, but it is also exciting to work on a unique design that is outside the box,” said Mr Crocker.
“All of the apartments are designed to be spacious and light to really capture the sea breeze — they will all have high ceilings and most will enjoy water views.
“Of course the developer knows how important it is to get the little things right too, so the apartments will have luxury fits outs with high quality appliances and specifications.”
There are 32 apartments left for sale starting from $399,000 in the seven-storey building which includes one penthouse from $765,000.
The Curve Birtinya is expected to be completed March 2021, with residents moving in soon after.
