Blackwater, Queensland has come up trumps in the latest CoreLogic rental report
Country town Blackwater in Queensland took out line honours in the latest CoreLogic Top 100 rental performance analysis.
Data to July confirmed that the typical house in the town has a rental yield of 11.7%, and a median value of $122,165.
Second was Broken Hill in New South Wales and bronze went to Woree in Queensland.
The CoreLogic Top Rental Performers Report reveals 100 suburbs where houses or units have an estimated gross rental yield of 5% or more per annum.
At a glance:
• 42 Queensland suburbs made up the top 100 rental performers list
• Second highest rental yields were in Broken Hill, NSW
• Third highest rental yields were in Woree, Queensland
Median house values in the report ranged from $89,483 to $521,597 and for units between $133,205 and $395,577.
CoreLogic’s research analyst Cameron Kusher said the areas that made the grade for the top 100 list, demonstrated solid rental yields, consistent rental growth and vacancy rates of less than 3%.
The report features 63 suburbs where houses represent good rental opportunities and 37 suburbs where units offer the highest yields, while also demonstrating positive rental growth
