Western Australia’s real estate institute has released the names of nominees for its 2019 Awards for Excellence celebrations.
The REIWA Awards for Excellence gala dinner held on September 19, 2019, at Crown Perth, is set to celebrate the achievements of the state’s real estate industry over the last 12 months.
"Each year we find we are getting much greater engagement from members because the awards are not just based on achievements in sales, but a whole range of criteria," said REIWA CEO Neville Pozzi.
"There is also the opportunity to participate in the national awards, which is a significant benefit," he said. "It's definitely growing in popularity each year."
In terms of there only being one nominee in some of the categories Mr Pozzi explained that it doesn't mean the person automatically gets the award.
"The judges have very strict criteria on which they assess individuals," he said.

Additionally, Mr Pozzi said there are nearly 50 exhibitors across a whole range of real estate-related services and about 1000 people are set to participate at the REIWA Connect conference held the day after the awards.
"We've combined the three streams of residential sales, property management, and commercial to feature concurrently across the day."
