Ray White New Farm will conduct its second No Commission Auction at New Farm State School on Sunday.
There will be a community focus to Ray White New Farm's sales activity on Sunday, as it hosts a No Commission Auction at New Farm State School.
Conducted in conjunction with Living Hope, the highest bidder will not only have the agency sell their home commission-free, but also benefit from a $20,000 marketing campaign.
Sunday's event follows the success of last year's inaugural No Commission Auction in September, which ended up raising $89,500 for Holy Spirit School, also in New Farm.
As with the previous version of the initiative, Matt Lancashire will be the agent involved, while Haesley Cush will be the auctioneer.
Mr Lancashire told WILLIAMS MEDIA he held high hopes for Sunday following the success of last year's auction.
"Holy Spirit was essentially able to change the landscape of the school through the donation," he said.
"They put in all new grass around play areas and also introduced robotics to the school.
"I ended up selling the gentleman's house under the hammer for $4,275,000, meaning he paid $89,500 for commission that should have been $130,000, so it ended up being a significant saving for him."
The No Commission Auction is one of several fundraising activities conducted by Ray White New Farm throughout the year, with the agency's Long Lunch for Mitochondrial disease in December having raised more than $500,000 in the five years it has been held.
Mr Lancashire said New Farm businesses were united in their support of the community.
"If we were lawyers or a local business, we would be doing the same thing," he said.
"New Farm, Newstead and Teneriffe are really tight-knit communities, where a lot of the businesses do a lot of initiatives together.
"We've got a mixture of some of the wealthiest people in the country and some of the cheapest housing in Brisbane, but no importance is placed on someone based on wealth, gender, religion, or sex.
"Everyone is always looking to support each other."
The Ray White New Farm No Commission Auction will be held at New Farm State School on Sunday, June 16.
