The Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) annual Women in Real Estate (WIRE) conference is set to return, marking its 13th year.
More women than ever are making their mark and moving into the real estate industry.
After decades of gender imbalance in an otherwise male-dominated industry, it seems women are feeling empowered to take charge of their careers.
In the five years to 2017, there was a two per cent growth in the number of women in the real estate industry - compared with 1.7 per cent growth for men.
"It's wonderful," REINSW President Leanne Pilkington said.
An advocate for change, Ms Pilkington is only the second female to serve as President since the establishment of the Institute in 1910.

Ms Pilkington is also the founder of the Real Women in Real Estate Group, a global women’s network group that connects professionals in the property industry.
She's also the managing director of Laing and Simmons and was named among the 100 Most Powerful People in Sydney this week.
The property expert is set to host the 13th annual Women in Real Estate Conference.
The Sydney event will be held next month.
It will see hundreds of women, and some men, gather for a day of professional development and personal motivation.
The event aims to inspire women in the male-oriented real estate industry and change the gender-imbalanced landscape.
“There are many women in our industry who are incredibly successful and accomplished – who don’t go looking for the spotlight. They often don’t receive the acknowledgement and praise they deserve, but events like these shine a light on their achievements and encourage others to step outside their comfort zone and challenge themselves," Ms Pilkington said.
“Our conference is a great way for real estate professionals, particularly women and male champions of change, to network and be inspired by our knowledgeable speakers who have years of experience, both in and out of real estate.
"Continuing to empower female agents through these events is a positive step to address the gender imbalance, particularly at the top, to create a truer representation of the 50-50 gender split in the industry.”

Ms Pilkington said that while the event is all about female empowerment, men are more than welcome to take part too.
"We do get men attending and they are very welcome! We have Male Champions for change involved. Ewan Morton (co-founder of real estate company Morton) is one of our speakers this year.
"At most conference events the majority of voices on stage are men, and whilst we can all learn from each other, we learn best from people who have got stories like ours. We focus on getting women on stage to share their stories," she told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
Each year, a panel of successful speakers share their stories.
This year’s group will hear from Goods Property Buyers and Location, Location, Location Australia co-host Veronica Morgan; Belle Property principal, Cathy Baker; and former actress and face of the #MeToo movement, Louisette Geiss.
The 2019 Women in Real Estate conference will be held on the morning of March 26 at the Art Gallery of NSW.
