Real estate veteran Geoff White will today take over the reigns as the National Head of Real Estate at CoreLogic.
Prominent member of the Victoria real estate industry with extensive expertise, fifth generation real estate veteran Geoff White will today head up his new role as National Head of Real Estate at CoreLogic.
Mr White was previously CoreLogic Group Sales Director since 2017, and has previously headed up the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV).
When asked what he's most looking forward to in his new role, it's hard to miss Mr White's excitement as he anticipates supporting thousands of SME businesses to grow and improve their processes.
"The opportunity to further provide the real estate industry with exceptional products and services that enable them to position themselves better witihin the marketplace is very exciting," Mr White told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
"Agents need to have the right tools to ensure they can put their best foot forward with sellers and buyers, and also provide them with the latest analytical and statistical information to position themselves in the marketplace.
"Right now, the technology component and availability of data and information is absolutely critical to agencies. If you don't have technological tools at your disposal, you're significantly behind in terms of positioning yourself in the marketplace.
"Consumers are more demanding of information and data, so agents have to remain relevant in the transaction and provide their clients with information. That's where we come in. At CoreLogic, we have an enormous database and a huge range of datasets to equip the industry with," Mr White told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
Mr White says his time with CoreLogic Victoria in a lead operational role gave him an opportunity to appreciate the sheer vastness of CoreLogic’s data and solutions for our real estate customers.
“I’ve learnt first-hand the importance of the tools we deliver to our real estate clients for better business practices - particularly how our rich data and analytics is used, and also how our products support the day to day operation of real estate professionals, groups and the industry as a whole.”
CoreLogic CEO International, Lisa Claes says the company is "investing an phenomenal amount into the industry, with a focus on smart tech to make agent delivery of next-level customer service a reality."
"And that’s really saying something given the real estate industry is often the first to embrace digitisation trends.
“There’s a huge amount coming up. With over 7,000 real estate clients nationally, 4,650 independents and 2,500 franchisees, CoreLogic already offers a critical market function. A major refresh to RP Data Professional is underway on every front: how it looks, how it feels to use, how fast it runs on whichever device you choose.”
“The mobile functionality within RPP will be head and shoulders above the rest - which, given the nature of real estate: we’re very excited about given some high performing agents are interacting with our tools thousands of times a month.”
“We’re also enhancing our API’s to make more data available for agents (and their franchises), and building on the enormous pool of research analytics at our disposal: making it much easier for agents to share with their clients. We have superior depth and breadth of data so whether an agent is regional, town, or city-based, we genuinely offer more data than anyone else does. We’re now focused on making all that data more consumable and easier for agents to share it with their prospects and clients.”
All this is well timed to support the exponential real estate industry growth, Ms Claes says.
“We’re witnessing a new breed of professional emerging: savvy, with aspirations of delivering five star customer service - and we’re focused on supporting that evolution and I look forward to helping to reveal the enormity of what CoreLogic offers."
Mr White says the real estate industry is going through an adjustment period.
"The market is changing - the present climate is different to what it was a year or two ago. But that's always been the case for as long as I've been in the industry. There have always been ups and downs, it's just one of those things really.
"I think some people haven't seen the times we're operating in before because they've only come into the industry in the last few years, so it's been a learning curve for industry newcomers."
Mr White told WILLIAMS MEDIA his passion for making the industry a better place is what has driven him throughout his 30+ year career.
"Real estate is 80 per cent people, and 20 per cent property. If you get the people part right, the rest will follow. That's what's driven me for over 30 years in this industry - it's all about the people.
"Giving back to the industry is a real personal satisfaction to me. Trying to make the industry a better place for all people conducting business is a significant reason why I do it.
“I’m looking forward to continuing and developing this further, ensuring everyone has the best possible real estate solutions available to them.”
