Buxton Bentleigh has promoted six young team members, all in their 20's and 30's, paving the way for young talent in real estate.
Buxton Bentleigh, one of Victoria's best performing real estate offices, now has six new Directors, all aged in their 20's and 30's.
They will join existing Directors Craig Williamson and Chris Hassall.
The new Directors who have been promoted include Phoebe Righetti, Sam Maley, Simon Pintado, Ivan Blow, Lauren Muller and Simon Wood.
Managing Director, Craig Williamson, said the 'unusual move' is a step in the right direction to reshape the traditional ownership model in real estate and the broader business environment.
"We are open minded and saw potential in where these individuals were heading, and the best way for us to recognise this is by getting them involved in the business," he said.
The traditional business ownership model in real estate has seen huge changes, with a shift towards digital media and technology. Williamson believes the millennial generation is vital to the evolution of the industry, and is the reason he believes in the importance of investing in young staff entering the real estate industry.
"They are naturally tech proficient and bring the right enthusiasm and energy. These attributes are critical to the success of any business in a changing and evolving environment," he said.
It's this strong belief shared by Williamson and Hassall that has seen a large emphasis placed on nurturing and training the younger generation entering the industry. Team members participate in 1-4 hours of training a week, which Williamson says has made them ready to evolve as agents and make strong contributions as leaders in the business.
"We can already see the upside and we know the strongest possible way for us to recognise that is to continue to take the leap," he said.
