The Real Estate Institute of Victoria held its 2016 Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner on Thursday night.
The Real Estate Institute of Victoria held its 2016 Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner on Thursday night at Crown Towers in downtown Melbourne.
The entertainment on the night was provided by Mary 'Effie' Coustas and Empire Live.
Joseph Walton, REIV President, discussed how the REIV has embraced the digital environment and with the recent changes in Victorian legislation, "it is important to have a voice that is heard."
REIV CEO Geoff White said that the quality of finalists this year indicates the professionalism of agents working in Victoria.
“These independently-judged awards acknowledge the hard work and effort that our members put in throughout the year to achieve the best results for their clients and the property industry,” he said.
White noted there were several agencies that won a number of awards this year, including Gary Peer & Associates, which won three awards.
Walton awarded Neville Sanders, who has been a member of the REIV since 1971, the President's Award for his contributions to the industry.
“Neville has made a significant contribution, at both state and national level, over many years,” said Walton.
Tim Heavyside from Fletchers Group was awarded the Residential Sales Person of the Year - Principals. Tim said he is truely honoured to be awarded this prestigious prize for the fifth time since 2006.
