Joseph Walton has been elected President of The Real Estate Institute of Victoria.
Joseph Walton has been elected President of The Real Estate Institute of Victoria for 2016-17.
Walton is a Director of CBD-based commercial agency Allard Shelton, and has a long history of involvement with the REIV. He has served on a number of committees and has acted as REIV President for the last six months.
Walton has had extensive involvement with the REIV Commercial and Industrial committee, having been a committee member between 2009 and 2014, and chair between 2010 and 2014.
He has also been a member of the Education Committee and Members Council of the REIV.
Walton said it is a privilege to have been elected President of the REIV.
“The next 12 months are vital for REIV members, as the industry continues to evolve and a range of state government reviews are undertaken,” he said. “The board is united in its focus on meeting these challenges.”
Two new office bearers were elected to office for 2016-17; Richard Simpson was elected Senior Vice President, and Robyn Waters was elected Vice President.
Noel Dyett and Sophie Lyon have also commenced their term as REIV Directors.
