Volumes remain low as sellers wait for spring.
The preliminary clearance for auctions over the weekend was 70.7%, roughly equal to last week’s rate of 70.5%.
Over the weekend, 1,295 auctions were held across the capital cities, compared with 1,391 the previous week.
Melbourne and Sydney once again showed the strongest clearance rates of 72.4% and 75.3% respectively.
However, volumes were down on last week in both Sydney and Melbourne. In Sydney, only 448 auctions were scheduled, and in Melbourne 569 were due to be auctioned.
