Waterfall by Crown Group aims to revolutionise the use of green space in residential developments, with a 22-metre water wall, a bamboo-covered walkway, and vertical gardens.
Sydney-based developer Crown Group has released the first images of its tropical, resort-style development in Waterloo.
The $395-million residential development, Waterfall by Crown Group, will feature innovative use of green space.
Only 5km from Sydney’s Central Business District, the 18 O'Dea Ave development will feature four buildings, 331 apartments, vertical gardens, a rooftop infinity pool, a gym, a function and dining room, a music room, private rooftop gardens, retail outlets, and a rooftop lounge with spectacular Sydney views.
True to its name, Waterfall by Crown Group will include a cascading water wall stretching 22 metres, or seven storeys, high.
The new imagery reveals a rainforest-inspired, bamboo-covered walkway, a private rooftop lounge, and balconies designed to take full advantage of the stunning views.
Crown Group CEO Iwan Sunito said the vision for Waterfall was to create a green revolution in Sydney’s architecture.
“With Waterfall by Crown Group we set out to revolutionize the use of green space in residential developments; breaking away from tradition to cater for people looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle,” Sunito said.
“Waterfall by Crown Group provides a sense of place, where people can feel both a connection with nature and the urban environment at once,” he added.
Crown Group has gained a reputation for pushing the boundaries of residential design to create landmark environments in Sydney’s best locations.
The developer recently sold more than $380 million worth of apartments at the launch of its award-winning Green Square project, Infinity by Crown Group.
The project is designed by Sydney-based architects SJB and aims to engage residents with nature through the use of natural materials, a tranquil lagoon, mature trees, outdoor retreat areas and rooftop gardens.
Crown Group will also build a new public park next to the development.
“Our vision is for the buildings to feel like an extension of the green space,” Sunito said.
International supermodel Paula Verhoeven has been appointed the face of the project, and last year shot a video promotion in Sydney.
Waterfall by Crown Group will be located in the City of Sydney’s Green Square, the second fastest growing demographic area of Sydney. The Waterloo – Zetland area almost doubled in population between 2001 and 2011, and the Bureau of Statistics estimates its population increased by another 10% from 2013-2014.
Construction will commence next year, and is scheduled for completion in 2019.
Waterfall by Crown Group’s luxury apartments will be released for sale at a grand launch in late 2016.
