Rarely for sale, some of the iconic beach boxes at Brighton in Victoria will go under the hammer at the end of the month. The higly coveted beach boxes, 76E & 76F Dendy Beach, are expected to fetch above $200,000 at auction, which equates to more than $40,000 per square metre.
The boxes are newly built and being sold by Bayside Council. They are only 20 metres from Esplanade access.
The auction will be conducted by Sam Paynter from Hodges Brighton on January 30 at 1pm.
The record for a Dendy bathing box is $260,000, set in 2011.
