The Martha's Vineyard home where the Obama family holidayed is on the market for $US22.5 million.
A home in Martha’s Vineyard where President Barack Obama and his family spent their summer holidays in 2013 is on the market for $US22.5 million. There is a private road leading to the property, which sits on nine acres of land. The home has four bedrooms, as well as a gym and floor-to-ceiling windows. The master suite has a study with a fireplace, his and hers bathrooms, and a private deck. On the grounds, there is an infinity-edge pool, a guesthouse, an outdoor kitchen and a basketball court. There are five outdoor showers.
The home is owned by Chicago merchant banker David Schulte and his wife Patricia, and the couple are supporters of Obama. The coastal property has not been available for rent since the president brought his family to the Vineyard, located 11 kilometres off Cape Cod, in 2013.
The property is listed by Tom Wallace of Wallace & Co. Sotheby’s International Realty.
