The network expands its services in NSW and ACT.
They've just launched a buyer's agency, and now LJ Hooker will this week launch an auction services division. The expanded service will see the firm provide onsite and in-room auctions, ongoing training programs and forums and vendor assistance in NSW and the ACT.
The auction team is made up of seasoned auctioneers Ricky Briggs, Jon Craven and Ben Mitchell. The Sydney-based office began trading on July 1 at LJ Hooker Head Office in Alexandria, and LJ Hooker Auction Services will be looking to expand nationally within the next three years.
"We will be assisting LJ Hooker offices who are yet to adopt auctions to implement the selling method into their listing tool kit and helping those offices already using auctions to further improve their systems," said Briggs.
The agency is set up to support the LJ Hooker network where auction is the preferred method of sale, said LJ Hooker Head of Real Estate, Christopher Mourd. "One in three of our listings in NSW and ACT are to be auctioned so the need for specialised services within the network is apparent," Mourd said. "Auctions and auction training has been a pivotal part of LJ Hooker since our inception back in 1928, we know that auctions are the most transparent and effective way to sell real estate and advocate this to our sellers."
