Ahead of the introduction of apartment standards, the Victorian government is asking for the community's input.
The Victorian government launched an online community survey over the weekend to encourage people to tell them what they think of apartment living. It follows the recently released Better Apartments discussion paper.
“Since its launch earlier this month, Better Apartments has kick-started a discussion within the design and construction industry, now we are drawing the public into the conversation," said Planning Minister Richard Wynne. “Planning is about people, and this survey will allow us to combine robust industry advice with meaningful community input on issues such as amenity and affordability. I have no doubt that this will lead to better planning decisions.”
The survey will be open until July 31, 2015 and is available here.
