New mobile app helps agents have direct access to clients.
An app which allows agents to send push notifications to interested customers about a particular property, agent or listing has been downloaded more than 16,000 times in the past six months. Industry-owned listing portal realestateVIEW.com.au created the mobile app propertyVIEWlive so properties can be viewed on mobile devices the moment they hit the market. So far, more than 150 real estate agencies around Australia have signed on to use propertyVIEWlive, which send notifications to interested customers who have downloaded an agency’s app and opted to receive updates on properties that match their search criteria.
“We wanted to create a cost-effective platform that would drive leads and visitors back to the agents’ own digital assets, which is fundamental in today’s online world," said realestateVIEW.com.au General Manager Petra Sprekos. "More importantly, our product also allows agents to offer additional value to their customers by giving them the inside scoop on new properties the second they hit the market. Property hunters love it because it eliminates the wait time between when a listing is secured and when it appears on the web, which can take three to seven days."
Enzo Raimondo, CEO of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria which owns realestateVIEW.com.au, said the platform was created to further enhance and support the role of the agent in the property transaction. PropertyVIEWlive has a minimal monthly subscription fee per office which covers setup, training, placement in the Apple and Android app stores and ongoing technical support. The platform also includes a safety button that allows agents working on their own to alert their office if they feel threatened or require assistance at open for inspections.
