Scott is Chief Auctioneer at McGrath Estate Agents, leading a team of 30 auctioneers who operate in NSW, ACT and QLD covering over 7,000 auctions annually. With 22 years auctioneering experience, Scott is one of Australia's finest auctioneers and his skills have been utilized four times on “The Block”. He was Australasian Auctioneer of the Year 2006, and he and his mentor John McGrath remain the only two NSW entrants to have won the title. Scott’s introduction to auctioneering was in the cattle yards of Walgett, and he started with McGrath in 1997.

The buyer frenzy is starting to dissipate after a continued rise in property values, though a recent increase in stock hitting the market has provided a more even balance to buying prospects. In such times it is customary to see clearance rates fall as a by-product of supply being greater than demand.
