Michael Wellsmore

Michael Wellsmore is a Property Consultant working in Sydney. He began his real estate career in the 1970s in his hometown of Canberra, and over the past 20 years he has been an executive with or a consultant in the commercial and residential property sector. He spent many years as a practising agent, and is a past President of REIACT and past director on the representative board for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in the US. Michael continues his industry representative work as the REIA liaison executive to NAR in the US.

Negative gearing - a proposed 'new tax'

Attributing blame to a select group for the housing crisis is unfair, especially since this minority group consists of hard-working individuals who have done nothing more than use tax laws commonly deployed by most taxpayers.
