The Place Bulimba All Star Auction held last night was a huge success, with approximately $10 million worth of property cleared on the night, and in excess of $12 million currently in active negotiation from bids at the auction.
Paul Curtain, principal of Place Bulimba told WILLIAMS MEDIA about 75 per cent of what was on offer on the night either sold or is under negotiation, which he believes is a healthy statistic.
21 properties went under the hammer at the agency’s first All Star Auction, and the most expensive sold was in Main Avenue, Balmoral.

The atmosphere was strong and there was a real buzz, with around 200 people in attendance.

Statistics from CoreLogic show that the last five years has seen spring as the most active period for townhouse, apartment and house sales overall, and auction clearance rates trend sharply upwards with the arrival of spring.
“The main reason we held the auction was because we saw an opportunity on the tale of winter, and before the real depth of spring going into summer, to hold an event and capture a window of time.

“The real depth of spring selling starts in October once school holidays finish, and we saw it as a way of getting in at the end of winter, but before September school holidays.
Mr Curtain said “potential buyers and sellers would have left last night feeling that generally the market activity is of a healthy, balanced, standard.
“It wasn’t a ghost town or a fever pitch, but a nice balance.
“We believe conditions will trade along in a balanced and calm manner,” Mr Curtain continued.
