McGrath now has ten offices in Victoria with the opening of its new branch in "trendy" Yarraville.
Despite the recent exodus of sales staff and the hit to earnings from lower listing volumes, McGrath Estate Agents is continuing to expand its presence in Victoria, with the opening of its first regional office and an office in the popular inner-west Melbourne suburb of Yarraville.
The Yarraville office will be McGrath's 10th franchise office in Victoria since first launching in St Kilda in December 2015. It's the company’s 98th office across the network.
McGrath founder and executive director, John McGrath, said recent gentification in Yarraville has made the suburb one of Melbourne’s urbane hot-spots.
“We see great potential for this trendy pocket in Melbourne’s Inner West that offers a unique blend of architectural styles," said McGrath.
"Yarraville is a charming and lively suburb with a strong sense of community. Its proximity to the city and the bay, good transport links and village vibe will continue to drive demand and add to its desirability.”
The opening of McGrath's Geelong office marks the group's first foray into regional Victoria.
McGrath said the Geelong office was an important strategic step in the company’s growth plans.
Geelong "is the second largest city in Victoria outside of Melbourne, and we are very optimistic about its future as an important growth centre," said McGrath.
"As more buyers recognise the value and lifestyle on offer in Geelong, I believe demand in the region will only continue to grow," he said, adding the the city undergoing a transformation from being a manufacturing centre to being a service-based economy.
