When Rana Creek Ranch, the long-held and much-loved estate of Apple co-founder, Mike Markkula, went to market, the agents sought out Australian firm, Goldeneye Media, to tell the story of a very special property.
Apple co-founder, and former CEO and chairman, Mike Markkula, is selling his much-loved and long-held Carmel Valley estate, Rana Creek Ranch.
With a price tag of nearly $60 million, the property is the largest private land holding in historic and beautiful Carmel Valley.
When agents, Carmel Realty Company, took on the campaign, they recruited Aussie firm Goldeneye Media to create a signature film.
Markkula agreed to speak on film for Goldeneye, one of the few times he has done so, because "he wants the marketplace to value it (the ranch) as not just land, but a legacy," Tracey Atkins, managing director of Goldeneye Media told SCHWARTZWILLIAMS.
"There's never a bad day down there," Markkula says in the film.
"It needs someone who really cares about the land," he says, saying, "given enough time, you could do almost anything there."
The 14,000-acre property consists of 12 parcels of land, and facilities include an air strip, multiple residences for staff, horse facilities, and cattle grazing land.
The home is only minutes from the beaches of Carmel-by-the-Sea and famous Pebble Beach golf course.
