McGrath is continuing to expand its footprint in Melbourne, this time in the bayside suburb of Sandringham.
McGrath has opened another Melbourne office, this time in the bayside suburb of Sandringham. The company has now opened six franchise offices since launching in Melbourne in December last year.
McGrath founder and executive director John McGrath said bayside suburbs such as Sandringham are some of Melbourne’s most desirable areas.
“Sandringham offers a vibrant village lifestyle, with its easy access to both the beach and the CBD a major drawcard for buyers” he said.
McGrath Sandringham will focus on the suburbs of Hampton, Hampton East, Highett, Black Rock, Cheltenham, Beaumaris and Sandringham.
The new office will be led by Mark Zammit and Fran Harkin, and four sales agents will join the team including David Picking, Simone Cumberlidge, Andrew Solomon and Melina Scriva, along with new client consultant Rachel Atkin.
Zammit said McGrath's high performance culture appealed to him.
“We are thrilled to now have the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s leading real estate professionals,” he said.
Harkin said Sandringham and the surrounding suburbs have experienced strong growth. According to CoreLogic the median house price in Sandringham increased by 17.2 per cent in the past 12 months to $1,502,500.
“There are a number of key factors driving demand in Sandringham, namely its bayside location, village lifestyle, good public transport links and proximity to the city. A shortage of stock has also contributed to its growth with strong competition between buyers for quality properties,” said Harkin.
The new office will be located at 1/30 Bay Road, Sandringham.
