Simon Jovanovic has been appointed the new CEO of hockingstuart.

Though Jovanovic has not worked in real estate before, he has experience leading sales teams in the energy, telecommunications, and financial services sectors.

Jovanovic said he was excited about joining the company. He said, “I look forward to joining the team and continuing to grow the network to ensure hockingstuart remains the most successful real estate brand in Victoria.”

James Atkins, chairman hockingstuart, said, “We’re confident Simon has the vision, values and experience to lead hockingstuart into the next phase, and look forward to working closely with him.”

The appointment comes after hockingstuart's former CEO, Nigel O'Neil, announced his resignation earlier this year after almost a decade in the top job.

Jovanovic's appointment will be effective 23 May.
