Raine & Horne Toowoomba continues to be one of the state’s most successful regional real estate businesses after it scored a pair of major awards at the 2015 Annual Raine & Horne Queensland Awards, held recently in Brisbane. 

The awards evening at the Sofitel Brisbane, where an audience of nearly 300 guests were in attendance, saw wins by Raine & Horne Toowoomba, led by Andrew Lynch, in the Top Office Number of Sales and Dollar Value categories. 

In the major individual categories, Jamie Wilmen from Raine & Horne Pottsville Beach/Cabarita Beach grabbed the gongs as the network’s Top Salesperson Number of Sales and the prize as its Top Salesperson Dollar Value. Lisa Palmer was voted the Top Salesperson Number of Sales (Principal) with Margaret Vote from Raine & Horne Wynnum Manly taking first in the Top Salesperson Dollar Value (Principal) category. 

Underlining the growing strength of Brisbane’s commercial real estate markets, Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North grabbed first place in the Auction Shield – Metropolitan. 

“Our team at Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North are a well-oiled unit under the watchful tutelage of principal, Trent Bruce,” said Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne. 

“This award also recognises that commercial real estate is fast becoming a popular asset class, particularly with yield-hungry self-managed super funds not only in Brisbane but in many of our capital cities across the country.”

Apart from winning the auction prize, Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North won the Top Commercial Office (Dollar Value) category, while leading sales agent Lawrence Temple grabbed first in the Top Commercial Salesperson - Sales $ Value award, and colleague Hudson Dale took out top spot in the Top Commercial Salesperson - Number of Leasing Transactions category. 

Paul Flego of Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane Southside broke the stranglehold of Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North by taking first place in Top Commercial Salesperson - Leasing Dollar Value category. Noel Jeffrey from Raine & Horne Commercial Bayside was named the network’s Outstanding Commercial Property Manager.

Other popular winners were Travis Schumacher and David Cotton, co-principals of Raine & Horne Mossman/Port Douglas, who were awarded the prestigious Graeme Skarratt (GSK) Award. Mr Skarratt, who has an OAM, was employed by Raine & Horne for 60 years prior to his retirement in 2006.

“The GSK Award was presented to Travis and David in recognition of their combined service to Raine & Horne since linking with our network about a decade ago,” said Mr Raine.

Mr Cotton said the award was totally unexpected and he attributed the win to his team at Raine & Horne Mossman/Port Douglas and the wider Raine & Horne network.

“At Raine & Horne it’s culture first, second and third. Everyone in the network is there to support each other,” said Mr Cotton, who ran second in the Top Salesperson Dollar Value (Principal) category, while Raine & Horne Mossman/Port Douglas finished second to Raine & Horne Toowoomba in the Top Office Dollar Value classification. The Far North Coast office also secured a creditable third in Top Office Number of Sales. 

“We were thrilled to see the wins by Andrew Lynch and his team at Raine & Horne Toowoomba, because Andrew has been incredibly supportive of us since we linked with the network, providing us with sensible business direction and advice,” said Mr Cotton.
