"The weight and texture of the natural sandstone was a major design influence. Rather than using two-dimensional paint, we used hemp render on the living room fireplace along with 12 different Marmorino plasters whose textured surfaces pool light." she explained.

"Respecting the building’s heritage, and mimic antiquity, salvaged bush hammered granite steps were introduced while the kitchen benchtop is crowned with leathered quartzite giving a ‘lived in’ surface."

"The spaces swell and expand through pattern integration. Square outlines of custom-cut oversized travertine floor pavers with exaggerated grouting juxtapose the miniature scale of the master ensuite’s mother-of-pearl mosaic tiles and the salon’s lilac open weave linen curtains."

"The diagonal bands of alternating tones of rose-tinted limestone tiles in the main bathroom give the illusion of sunlight streaming inside. It's my favourite room.” Yasmine added.
