Speaking to LUXURY LIST WEEKEND, architect Joe Adsett said the house was designed to be long and thin so that every significant room in the house could enjoy a north/south aspect to take advantage of the view but so as not to lose the northern light and breeze.
“When I first visited the site for Larc, I was most inspired by the incredibly wide frontage and breathtaking views,” he explained.

From the first inspection the best place to see and enter the house was from the tight hair-pin bend in the road and we designed the house to present to the entry as a piece of sculpture,” Joe told LUXURY LIST WEEKEND.
“The materials of the house drew inspiration from the surrounding Queenslanders with the main theme being a lightweight timber veil floating above a heavier masonry base. Hanging landscapes and greenery were also used to soften the building and anchor the design to its verdant hillside setting.”

Three-metre-high ceilings span all three levels, connected by a bespoke lift, with feature expansive glazing on the upper floors to frame the breathtaking views.
At the heart of the residence a full-length courtyard exemplifies Joe Adsett’s design, harmoniously integrating the indoors with the outdoors.
"This home is the epitome of refined luxury, perfectly balancing architectural elegance with luxurious comfort. Often, properties lean more towards one than the other, but this house maintains an ideal harmony between both," Heath Williams told LUXURY LIST WEEKEND.
"There is a beautiful simplicity in the execution of this design and construction. A tremendous amount of soul and effort has been invested in this home, and it's evident in every detail. The refinement of the materials is exceptional, there is no better home in Brisbane," he said.
