Nick Mellish told WILLIAMS MEDIA there were 12 in-person inspections during the campaign, with most buyers from Brisbane, searching for a weekender country estate for their family.

“The amount of interest was fair considering this magnificent property is the largest homestead in the region.”

Offered with a list price over $1,950,000, the home was sold in the high $1,000,000s after being passed in at auction.

Nick believes the pandemic has generated increased interest in the area.

“The high demand for real estate out of capital cities in SE QLD has increased dramatically as the landscape for working in capital cities has changed for corporate employees,” he explained to WILLIAMS MEDIA.

“Since Covid-19, corporate workers have been utilising zoom and virtual meeting styles which allows people to not have to live in major cities like Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. I've sold countless homes to southerners that see enormous value one hour away from Brisbane, choosing beachside suburbs and country settings instead of the hustle and bustle.”
