This architect-designed family home located in a picturesque pocket of Malvern has been sold by Oliver Booth and Matt Davis of Kay & Burton for an undisclosed amount.

The home was designed by architect David Neil of Neil Architecture, building on the bones of the existing structure to create a lifestyle sanctuary with spacious sun-filled interiors, entertainment spaces, and swimming pool.

The home drew enormous amount of interest and editorial, with 217,107 engagements during the 35 days it was advertised online.

“Due to COVID-19, Matt and I had to hold the majority of inspections via appointment. In total, we had 73 private inspections over the course of the campaign,” Oliver Booth told WILLIAMS MEDIA. “When stage 4 lockdown was introduced Matt and I had 5 parties requesting video inspections of the property. We organised a walkthrough video prior to the lockdown so it made things easy when they asked for it.”

The successful buyer was a family who was looking to move into a renovated home that is all done.

“Neil Architecture really do produce a fabulous home which appeals to a large audience,” Oliver explained to WILLIAMS MEDIA. “I have had the pleasure of selling several of his homes and everyone loves them. They property had extremely good proportions and separate living areas as well as the fact it was ready to move into.”

Zoned so that all members of the family have their own space, the five bedroom, three bathroom home features warm, textured interiors in a palette of timber, marble and concrete.

For indoor-outdoor entertaining, glass sliders open the rear of the home to the deck with built-in barbeque, overlooking Eckersley Stafford designed gardens and the solar heated pool.

Oliver told WILLIAMS MEDIA he expects demand to drive the market through to the end of 2020.

“In the last 6 weeks of lockdown we have had several conversations within our sales team and we all believe that there is a pent up demand,” he told WILLIAMS MEDIA. 

“I predict you will see a large amount of stock hit the market between now and December. I also feel that the market will continue all the way up until late December this year, whilst in previous years it has kind of cooled off at the start of December.”

“Matt and I both have several buyers who are looking to buy homes that are ready to move into within the Malvern area. Buyers are becoming more time poor than ever and I think there is a large demand for good quality family homes that are all done and ready to move in.”
