Speaking to LUXURY LIST, Kathy Barnsley said the location of the pool and the alfresco was one of the first design decisions they needed to make.

"We knew we wanted those two elements to be really special, and the aspect of the house facing north towards the road meant that my solution was to place these elements on the front of the house." 

"The use of the substantial bridge timbers and beams for the alfresco make this a special signature design element of the build. Using those same timbers in the great room carries those features through to the interior." 

"The stone used on the fireplaces and chimneys also carries through from the outside to the inside. The result is a home full of fabulous textures, colours and materials that work so well together.”

Interiors feature Herringbone oak timber flooring, plush wool loop pile carpeting, rustic, handmade Italian architectural light fixtures.

In the ornate gourmet kitchen a polished concrete island bench sits alongside Cortona natural stone benchtops, top-of-the-range appliances, large butler's pantry with integrated fridge/freezer and a servery to the outdoor terrace. There is also a 450-bottle wine room and 50 bottle wine fridge.
