Source: Place New FarmDuring the 3-week campaign, 76 groups inspected the property, including 3 virtual inspections, Heath Williams told LUXURY LIST WEEKEND.
“There was a huge amount of interest in the property, mainly because of its land size, as 698 sqm is a very rare find in Fortitude Valley, but also the proximity to the attractions of James Street, Teneriffe, Gasworks, King Street and the CBD.”
“The auction started with a couple of bids and then really kicked off and became very competitive,” Heath explained.
Source: Place New FarmThere were 6 registered bidders on the day with over 20 bids made before the home sold was to a local family purchasing their first home for $3.705m, over $100k over reserve.
“It was possibly one of our best auctions with the backyard and house filled with people. It became a bidding war between with the successful family determined to secure the property coming back really strongly each time. After creating a new suburb record just a few weeks ago with our sale of 27 Prospect Street, we have reset the record by another $530k.”
