Sold by Kate Cox of Reed & Co, who told WILLIAMS MEDIA, "Noosa stock is quite tight so when a property comes on the market that is attractive, it is usually snapped up pretty quickly."
This grand scale designer penthouse in one of Noosa Heads’ exquisitely maintained boutique complexes has been sold via private treaty by Kate Cox of Reed & Co after 16 days on the market.
Designed by Stephen Kidd, 'Elandra' was the first building to be completed in Settler's Cove and this home-sized apartment features an enviable north facing aspect, stunning views of Laguna Bay, Noosa River, and beyond, as well as close proximity to Noosa Junction.
The home features generous use of travertine, high ceilings, vast living spaces, a master bedroom which has ample distance from the other two bedrooms, ensuring privacy, while a private rooftop terrace is the perfect spot for sunset drinks with expansive views.

Marketing of the property commenced on 5 February 2020 and the residence went under contract on 21 February. While the property was originally marketed at $3.495m, the offer was a cash offer with only a due diligence clause, so the seller accepted $3.38m. Settlement took place on 17 April as the seller had an overseas trip booked (later cancelled).
Agent Kate Cox told WILLIAMS MEDIA, “We had a launch open house with Rose at sunset on 8 February, followed by two other open houses and one private inspection.
The interest was strong but as we only ran the campaign for a short time, there were limited numbers, totally 11 enquiries altogether. Most enquiries were from interstate, both Sydney and Melbourne, looking for a holiday home that they may end up living in in the future. We also had an enquiry form NZ. There was also strong interest from Brisbane, looking to move up as a permanent residence, but they were too late to view as we had sold.”

The penthouse was bought by locals who have been living in Noosa for over ten years.
Kate told WILLIAMS MEDIA, “They have purchased for the future as penthouses do not come on the market very often and Elandra (a secure complex) is exceptionally well maintained and with stunning facilities which is very attractive for a mature market. They will be initially permanently renting the property until they are ready for the transition of downsizing.”
Kate told WILLIAMS MEDIA the luxury market in Noosa remains strong despite the uncertainty over COVID-19.
“We are finding buyers are wanting to move to the area either in the short or medium term. They are securing their property now so they have a foothold in the market. Noosa is stunning at the moment and stock is quite tight so when a property comes on the market that is attractive it is usually snapped up pretty quickly. We are also finding we are selling to locals who are downsizing but want the right position and quality build.”
“We are so fortunate to be selling and living in Noosa. The area attracts so many people looking for a lifestyle rather than just a home. The market has stayed steady for the past few years as more people move here from the cities. They can run their business from anywhere in the world and Noosa is their place of choice! I feel we will see this even more so after Covid-19 as a lot of people are realising we can manage our work from afar. And why not be where you can swim in the ocean and enjoy a river walk in Autumn.”
