“As grandchildren of Fred and Mabel, we fondly remember our times spent at 139 Kooyong Road – visits to the Royal Botanic Gardens by the Rose Street Bus, walking to High Street shops or to catch the tram or train, swimming lessons at the Rose Street swimming pool, and waking up on a weekend to hear the singing of the Australian Boys’ Choir which was based on the corner of Malvern Road and Kooyong Road.”
