An original three-bedroom cottage in Greenwich goes to auction this weekend.
A Federation style, brick and stone cottage at Greenwich on Sydney’s lower north shore is for sale for the first time in 50 years, and is going to auction this weekend.
The deceased estate is being marketed by Desiree Hough of Ray White Lower North Shore, who said there has been an overwhelming response to the marketing campaign. The home is situated on a 367 sqm block, and is a two-minute stroll from Greenwich Village and the local school, five minutes to the ferry, and only a seven-minute walk to the train.
'There have been more than 170 people attend open inspections for the property and approximately 10 interested parties,' she said. 'This home has fantastic potential and is located in a very desirable street and suburb, so we have high expectations of a successful auction on Saturday.'
The three-bedroom home retains many of its original features, including high ornate ceilings, and polished timber floors. 'This home is perfectly suited to those looking to renovate and create their dream home (STCA) while retaining features from an elegant bygone era,' Ms Hough said.
The home is being auctioned on site at 5pm on Saturday August 15.
